Group Leader Positions at National Institute of Biological Sciences，Beijing -2018

Principal Investigators: National Institute of Biological Sciences, Beijing (NIBS) (http://www.manfenghanlong.com), an HHMI-style biomedical research institute funded by Chinese government, is seeking multiple outstanding Principal Investigators (PI). Qualified candidates should have a Ph.D./M.D. degree and several years of postdoctoral training or industrial experience, with a strong track record in the mechanism-based biological research, disease-related research, or chemistry/ drug discovery. Successful candidates are selected solely based on their scientific merits, regardless of gender, nationality and race, and those with strong ambition of doing highly creative research and making high-impact discoveries are particularly welcome. Successful candidates will also become a member of the Tsinghua Institute of Multidisciplinary Biomedical Research (TIMBR) jointly established by NIBS and Tsinghua University. NIBS is SCIENTIST centric–providing 1) generous start-up packages, internationally competitive salaries/benefits, and a highly stimulating and efficient research environment; 2) twelve state-of-the-art core facilities covering from chemistry, imaging and single cell RNA-seq to mouse transgenics and forward genetics screening; 3) strong administrative support, outstanding graduate program, and open communication with international scientific community, all of which enables PIs complete freedom and focus to conduct significant and creative research at his/her own will. The initial appointment for PIs will be 5 years, with full funding support from the Chinese government. Renewal of the appointment will be merit based and is conditional upon passing reviews by an international committee.
